CHAPTER 1. ENLISTED RANKS
Enlisted ranks are the most junior personnel of USDF. They are expected to carry out basic duties (recruitment), as well as complete several trainings that will prepare them for a future career within USDF. It is expected that enlisted personnel reach JNCO ranks within 3 days of their enlistment. Enlisted personnel are not eligible for any office membership.
CHAPTER 2. NON-COMMISSIONED OFFICER RANKS
Non-Commissioned Officers are the backbone of USDF. They carry out majority of the duties around the headquarters, and are eligible to join some offices. Non-Commissioned Officer ranks are further divided into two categories: Junior and Senior Non-Commissioned Officers. Senior Non-Commissioned Officers are eligible to hold office and branch command positions (OHNCO and BHNCO only).

Warrant Officers are responsible for assisting Commissioned Officers in carrying out their daily duties, as well as supervising HQ, spotting individuals that deserve a promotion, as well as action these promotions. Warrant Officers are eligible to hold command positions within their offices, and branches (up to ML2).
CHAPTER 4. COMMISSIONED OFFICER RANKS
Commissioned Officers are considered the leaders of USDF. They are responsible for supervision, leadership, and organization of the headquarters, their offices, and branches. Commissioned Officers are eligible to hold senior command positions within USDF. Commissioned Officers ranked O1-O3 are considered Company Grade, Officers O4-O6 are considered Field Grade, and those ranked O7 or higher are considered Flag Grade Officers. Additionally, Officers O1-O4 are considered Junior Officers, and those ranked O5+ are Senior Officers.
