Superior-ranked officers does not need to stand from their Sentry seat and salute an incoming officer who is ranked below them. The superior officer may call an attention if requested by the incoming officer (this means the officer entering HQ does not need to call the rest command if they do not want an attention).

Superior-ranked officers are not required to stand from their sentry seats or salute when a lower-ranked officer enters. If the incoming lower-ranked officer requests it, the superior officer may call the HQ to attention. Otherwise, the incoming officer does not have to give the rest command.
