    WELCOME

Hello there, USDF personnel! Welcome to our brand-new HQ!

As you all may have already observed, there have been a lot of changes in our new HQ. We are going to do our best to answer questions as thoroughly as we can in this thread while also having updated Regulations, Trainings and Procedures (RTP) reflecting the changes soon.

If there are any questions after reading through this guide, feel free to forward them to your Chain of Command, who may have the answers, or can forward them along to the relevant personnel for you.

Without further ado, let's jump into the changes!

    SYSTEM UPDATES

    ENTRANCE AREA

UNIVERSAL GROUP GATE (UGG): Gone are the days when every group badge needed its own Group Gate to enter HQ from. With the new UGG, this single Group Gate will allow you to access HQ from any USDF_HQ badge that normally allows entry to you in HQ.

GROUP GATE INDICATOR: This indicator functions similarly to the Green Lamp near GG. The GG is now activated when the Indicator displays a “P” in Blue. When it shows a “Cross” in Red, it will not teleport you into HQ.

    Lobby Area
The Lobby has a changed Front Row layout, with a new and spacious Welcome Desk! Other updated systems are as follows:

    - When a player idles in the Lobby, eventually they will be sent to either the Lobby Sofas or Bar Tables.

    - The Bar Stools on the Lobby side are included in the anti-idle wired.

    - Group Badge Pennants are now replaced with Group Pillars.

    The Sentries

The Sentry has had a major overhaul in its operations. The following are the details:

    QUEUE:
The Sentry lines for both sentries have been considered into a singular roller queue. This will make it easier for DDO to recognize when to activate the Personnel ID GG (when rollers are full), reduce gate rushing, and ensure that if one sentry gets backed up, you will still make it through the Sentry in the order you stepped into the queue. Simply step on the rollers and all other Sentry operations will proceed as usual!

LEFT & RIGHT SENTRY: While things look different, the commands are the same as before. :gate1 will send the first person from the queue to you, and :gate2 will open the next gate to let them into HQ.

SENTRY ASSIST: The commands :left and :right have been removed. Simply click the gates while on the SA/DDO chair and the gates will open/close. This will ensure a faster operation of SA gates.

SENTRY COUCH: This is NOT an AFK/R&R area or a part of the Work Floor. This couch is ONLY to be used by personnel entering HQ during Attention, who do not wish to go to AFK or cross the Work Floor interrupting an Attention. They will instead walk to the couch, sit on it and then stand at Attention.

    Work Floor

While the above screenshot shows in-depth information about the new Work Floor, we have some new and exciting things added!

    OFFICER COMMAND CENTER (OCC):
More information about this will be released in #officer-news on Discord, but to summarize, the OCC is a brand new position for Senior Officers (O5+)! This position can utilize commands for managing HQ, such as clearing sleepers and removing trolls without needing room rights and other features.

HALLWAY TELEPORTER: The teleporter will now always be visible in HQ at all times, though it will not be accessible all the time. The DDO will have to use the :hallway command to open the door for use and close it afterwards with the same command. If you see a faint green glow on the door, the door can be entered, otherwise it is locked.

TRANSFER HQ: If you have observed already, you will notice that the Transfer HQ teleporter is missing! It has now moved to below the lobby. Wired mechanisms will take the OMP member and the transferee using the :transfer command.

SENIOR COMMAND GATE: We have now added a one-way gate to the Front Row, that by default will allow anyone to exit the HQ into the lobby. The gate will automatically rotate when a JSD+ officer approaches it to let them through. Attention will NOT be called for Senior Command entering HQ using this method.

The VIP, R&R and AFK Areas

Outside of the Work Floor, we have three major areas - the VIP Section, R&R and the AFK Library. Let’s see them in depth!

    VIP SECTION:
This is a brand new and spacious VIP area for our guests and officers! While it looks separated, it is purely for aesthetics. Enjoy the fireplace!

VIP AFK CHAIRS: These seats are where those who go AFK while in VIP will be teleported. Users seated on these chairs will not be needed to stand for Attention/Attention on Deck.

REST & RELAXATION AREA (R&R): The new R&R is now broken down into three subsections - a Radio & Dance area, a Games area, and a section that is always R&R for those who don’t partake in either of the two.

RADIO BOOTH: This is for CET DJs to use. When the dancefloor is down, members may dance anywhere on the dancefloor. Commands for this area will be shared with CET via the CET Server.

OPA GAMES AREA: We heard you and we did it! OPA will now have a dedicated area for games! When the white mats are down, this space is reserved for those playing OPA Games. Commands for games will be shared in OPA Channels for hosts.

AFK LIBRARY: We have officially said goodbye to our typical AFK Row exercise equipment that has been the norm in USDF for years! Now, we have a larger Library that serves as USDF’s AFK zone. Talking in this area will be restricted, similar to current AFK procedures.

INTERNAL BAR: Want a drink? The bar is now open for both, USDF personnel in HQ and civilians in the lobby!

    NEW ENHANCEMENTS

    Anti-Idle System

This HQ now has a robust anti-idle system in use. It is divided into three zones with their own AFK areas. They are:

    - Lobby and Public Bar.
    - R&R and AFK Library.
    - VIP Section.

Idling in any of the three zones will prevent you from idling out (kicking you out the room).

In addition to the three zones, there has been a modification to how you get anti-idled. Previously, the moment your Habbo idled, the wired would display facts to you and not let you idle at all. To add visual continuity to the system, you will now stay in your spot and continue to idle for 4 minutes and 40 seconds, before being hit by the anti-idle. This gives a safety cushion to those who are multi-tasking in HQ and are tabbed out, but don’t want to be sent to the AFK Library. If and when you are in any of these AFK areas, you will not be triggered by this system and will stay anti-idled.

    VIP/Allies Group Look-up

When on Sentry, you often come across guests in your queue who don't have the badge favourited or have a private profile. To look them up in the applicable group’s user list, find the Group Banners lined at the bottom edge of the room to access the applicable groups.

    Sentry Area Work-flow

    - To maintain continuity for sentries, all commands will be the same even with visual differences. When someone is at the front of the roller queue, use :gate1 to bring them to your Sentry line. Then you may use :gate2, :lobby, :clear, or :recruit as applicable.

    - To help prevent rush at Sentry, the users in the queue will be frozen. Hence, only the person at the front of the line will be pulled into the area.

    - The members will auto-rotate to face you to aid in the recruitment process. Their backs will then be visible to check for hidden numbers.

    - The Sentry Assist NO LONGER has
:left and :right commands. The clicking system described above will work on both versions of the downloadable client, the web version and the modern app on mobile. It will unfortunately not work in the legacy mobile apps (discontinued over a year ago). If they don’t work for you, time to upgrade!

    Lobby Group-Gate

If you are a member of the [USDF] Personnel ID group badge and the indicator is turned off, or if a civilian who is not a member of any of the six applicable badges steps on the group gates, they will be sent to a lobby seat and frozen for 5 seconds with a message explaining why.

To help prevent accidental occurrences of this happening, there are pathfinding furni in place preventing you from accidentally stepping on this group gate.

    Conclusion

This is a comprehensive wrap-up of the changes in the new HQ design!

Once again, if you have any questions/comments/concerns not covered herein, please reach out to your applicable Chain of Command, and if they don’t have the answers for you, they will forward them along as necessary.
