REGULATION 8: UNIFORM CODE OF MILITARY JUSTICE
CHAPTER 1: GENERAL PROVISIONS
SUBSECTION 3. JURISDICTION
The Uniform Code of Military Justice is subjugated to the executive authority of the Secretary of Defense. The following herein is administratively governed by the Judge Advocate General (JAG) as delegated by the Secretary of Defense. The Office of the Joint Staff Inspector General (OJSIG) is responsible for the continued enforcement as long as these articles are in place. Only the OJSIG are permitted to carry out investigations.
