SUBSECTION 3. JURISDICTION
The Uniform Code of Military Justice is subjugated to the executive authority of the Secretary of Defense. The following herein is administratively governed by the Judge Advocate General (JAG) as delegated by the Secretary of Defense. The Office of the Joint Staff Inspector General (OJSIG) is responsible for the continued enforcement as long as these articles are in place. Only the OJSIG are permitted to carry out investigations.

The following herein is legislated by the Assistant Secretary of Defense for SP&C (ASD SP&C), and administratively governed by the Judge Advocate General (JAG), as delegated by the Secretary of Defense. The Office of the Joint Staff Inspector General (OJSIG) is responsible for the continued enforcement of this regulation as long as these articles are in place. Only members of the OJSIG are permitted to carry out investigations. Only members of the OJAG are permitted to carry out Judicial Reviews.
