CHAPTER 1. GENERAL PROVISIONS
Subsection 1. General Information
- Medals/awards can only be issued by the issuing authority.
- Anyone found with these medals in their forum signature or stating they have these medals WITHOUT the consent of the approving party can be subject to disciplinary action
- Medals stated in this regulation go in order from highest to lowest.
- Meaning MOH is the highest medal, below it is the Secretary of Defense Distinguished Service Award, etc.
- Service stripes are awarded based on time spent in USDF (and previous Sycron Corp. militaries).
- The first Service Stripe is awarded at 3 months, the second at 6 months and from then on goes up in 6 month steps.
- To request a service stripe, please reference the Service Stripe Request Procedure
Subsection 2. Displaying medals in forum signature
- Personnel are encouraged to display their awarded medals in their forum signature.
- Your ribbon rack must be built using the approved medals and only the medals listed below can be displayed.
- If you have medals from another military, you are welcome to also include them but it must be clearly stated in your signature where they are from.
- For service stripes, they may be included as / within a parentheses ( ). With / being replaced by the number of number of months of service, e.g (
) as (///).

CHAPTER 2. COMMAND & SERVICE PINS
Subsection 1. Training Pins
Pins are awarded for conducting a certain amount of trainings (which is tracked by the PTS). They may be earned and worn at any rank. Only OJFD AD+ may approve the addition of a training pin.

Subsection 4. Practical Training Program (PTP) Pins
- The following awards will be available for wear on the forum signature.
- These pins should be placed in order from highest to lowest across a centered row, with the highest on the left and the lowest on the right.
- If a medal rack is displayed, the PTP pins will be displayed under the medal rack.

CHAPTER 3. MEDALS
Subsection 1. General Information
- Personnel may wear any earned medal, as long as the worn medal is favorited on their PTS profile. This can be done by logging into PTS and selecting the medal from the user profile.
- Medals can be worn with any uniform except the Warfare Uniform, Physical Training Uniform, and the DFMAP Uniform.
- Only combat medals can be worn with the Special Operations Uniform
- All colors are strictly non-HC and no HC substitutions may be made.
- The color definitions can be found in Regulation 2: USDF Standing Orders for Dress.

Medal of Honor (MOH) | SecDef | The Medal of Honor is awarded for service of phenomenal significance where the contribution has impacted the direction of the United States Defense Force and rendered service at considerable personal sacrifice motivated by a sense of service above all else. It may also be awarded to a person who, while a member of the USDF, distinguishes themselves conspicuously by gallantry and intrepidity going above and beyond the call of duty or at self-sacrifice, against an enemy of the United States; while engaged in action or military operations involving conflict with an opposing foreign force. | - This can be a Combat or Non-Combat Medal. - Regardless of rank (but the medal must be displayed using the Habbo uniform item), if you hold this Medal you will be saluted. Even if a NCO wears the Medal of Honor the sentry will salute them when they enter, or if an officer comes to talk to the NCO, the officer will salute the medal holder; if you come to attention for an officer with the Medal of Honor and they walk past you then you are to salute as they pass. You do not salute if the recipient is sitting, eg. at the information desk you would not salute the Medal of Honor recipient if you sat at the desk with them to ask a question. |

Exemplary Service Medal (ESM) | OSD | The Exemplary Service Medal is a senior non-combat award for acts of extreme heroism not involving actual conflict with an enemy of the United States. To qualify for the Exemplary Service Medal, a person must clearly and consistently put the interests of USDF above their personal interests in addition to clearly dedicating their time and effort to the USDF beyond the level expected of their rank or position. | - This is a Non-Combat Medal. |
Bronze Star (BS) | NSA, USD I&S | The Bronze Star Medal (also known as the Bronze Star), is the fifth-highest combat decoration and the tenth-highest military award. The medal may be awarded for acts of heroism, acts of merit, or meritorious service in a combat zone. | - This is a Combat Medal. |

Distinguished Trainer's Medal (DTM) | DJFD, USD ED, NSC | The Distinguished Trainer's Medal may be awarded to any member of the United States Defense Force who distinguished themselves through the continuous and consistent efforts in educating, training, and preparing personnel for service and growth. Service members will be awarded this medal for every 150 training sessions hosted (max 600 sessions). Good Conduct Medal (GCM) | NSC, USD I&S, JSIG | The Good Conduct Medal is awarded to any Enlisted/NCO/WO member of the United States military who completes "honorable and faithful service". Such service implies that two months of enlistment were completed without any disciplinary action or offenses.
